DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS REALLY HAPPENING IN YOUR BUILDING?

FROM THE OUTSIDE, EVERYTHING
SEEMS TO BE FINE, BUT

Uncontrolled pressure differences put indoor air at risk and waste energy, yet they are still rarely measured. Loopshore's solution provides continuous, accurate pressure difference measurement across the building envelope without cabling or manual work. The easily portable device works independently and sends data to the cloud in real time.

Avoid moisture damage, balance your ventilation and bring transparency to property management. Discover a modern way to measure and manage pressure differences today.

Why is pressure difference measurement critical?

✅ Avoid moisture risks

✅ Improve ventilation performance

✅ Bring transparency to property management

Why measure pressure differences across the building envelope?

The pressure difference between outdoor and indoor air directly affects ventilation performance, energy efficiency and the health of building structures. Especially in tall buildings, weather conditions such as wind and temperature differences can cause significant pressure fluctuations without anyone knowing until problems appear.

  • Poor ventilation leads to stuffy indoor air and the spread of pollutants

  • Heat loss and higher energy consumption occur when air flows through the wrong places

  • Moisture damage can develop in the structures slowly and expensively

  • Correct sizing and balancing is difficult without accurate data

What do pressure differences really do? Facts for engineers!

Thermal pressure difference (stack effect):

Together, thermal and wind-induced pressure differences can cause:

When indoor air is warmer than outdoor air, it tends to rise and escape through the upper parts of the building. At the same time, cold outdoor air flows in at the bottom. The effect grows with the height of the building and the temperature difference.
→ For example, a 50 m building with a 40 °C temperature difference can have a pressure difference of up to ±20 Pa.

Effect of wind:

At wind speeds above 10 m/s, wind starts to dominate pressure differences: overpressure builds up on the windward side and underpressure on the leeward side. This can significantly disturb the pressure balance of a building, especially in tall buildings or buildings exposed to air currents.

Combined effect:

❌ Ventilation imbalance

❌ Air flows through structures

❌ Moisture moving to the wrong places

❌ Failed ventilation adjustment

Special use case: Asbestos removal sites

On asbestos removal sites, pressure difference
measurement is part of site safety.

In asbestos removal, the work area must be kept under negative pressure so that hazardous fibres do not spread to surrounding spaces. This cannot be left to the negative pressure unit alone: continuous measurement is needed that takes into account changes in both indoor and outdoor pressure.

With the Loopshore device you can:

  • Ensure sufficient negative pressure in all conditions

  • Record measurement data for later documentation

  • Monitor pressure conditions in real time on mobile or in the cloud
